Opterus Releases New Training Center Module
Toronto, Ontario - March 30, 2010 - Opterus Inc., the fastest-growing provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) store communications and task management solutions, today announced the release of the Training Center, a new module that continues to build on the strength of the Store Ops-Center retail portal. The Training Center is a business rules-based configurable module that retailers can utilize for any type of employee training, and according to their own business requirements.
Retailers realize the importance of making the necessary investments in their biggest asset, the store associate, but are often limited in the amount of resources they can dedicate to provide a full-on employee training program. The Training Center module from Opterus is a unique solution designed to resolve the time and cost issues that retailers face when it comes to training their employees. Similar to other Store Ops-Center modules, it is a strong standalone solution, but the real value is its tight integration with the other modules within Store Ops-Center. For example, Task Manager, Training Center and Compliance Reporting can be combined to define a sophisticated workflow, ensuring that store associates complete training tasks on time and to the enterprise's defined standards. Core features of the Training Center module include:
- Training tests can be defined with different sections and multiple choice questions
- Question scores can be set, and each answer can be configured to give either full or part marks
- Users can be given a blind test and shown the correct answer after each question, or can be provided with an explanation of why the correct answer is "right" after they complete the question
- Tests can be tied to a task that requires a user to complete by a set due-date – tasks can also be tracked to understand who has and has not completed the test
- Test results can be viewed within Store Ops-Center or downloaded into a spreadsheet for further analysis
