Town Shoes Increases Operational Excellence with Opterus Store Ops-Center
Toronto, Ontario - July 27, 2009 - Opterus Inc. today announced that Town Shoes, a full-service fashion footwear retailer, has implemented Opterus Store Ops-Center following the software's successful deployment at The Shoe Company, a subsidiary of Town Shoes. The Shoe Company has documented improvement in operational productivity of more than 20 percent since they began using Opterus. Once Town Shoes has successfully implemented and deployed Store Ops-Center, Opterus will be fully deployed to both brands' 110+ store locations.
"We have been very pleased with the increased efficiency and the time and cost savings we've experienced at The Shoe Company brand, so it was an easy decision to extend the use of Store Ops-Center to all Town Shoes locations," said Peter Gerhardt, Chief Financial Officer at Town Shoes. "The brands operate separately with very little overlap in head office management, but Opterus allows us to independently and seamlessly manage both brands from the same instance of Store Ops-Center."
Opterus provides retailers with tools to improve retail operational efficiency through enhanced store communications and compliance monitoring of corporate objectives. Store Ops-Center is an on-demand solution that can be deployed in a matter of days with significant immediate cost benefits, including improved productivity for store employees, increased employee satisfaction and retention, and reduced paper usage and travel costs for store visits.
Opterus has improved overall accountability and compliance on all head office communications, tasks and more at Town Shoes. It replaces Town Shoes' use of email for store communications, which had created numerous challenges in store-level accountability, consistency and compliance with corporate objectives.
"The software is excellent and the installation was so easy that it was almost invisible." said Lewis Feinstein, VP of Operations, The Shoe Company. "The biggest Opterus fans are store managers and district managers, because it enables them to monitor the execution of tasks in their stores with very little time or effort. The benefits of improved task execution and real cost savings throughout the entire organization has been substantial."
